At the conclusion of this course, the participants should be able to:
Discuss and apply principles of neuroanatomy to their neurosurgical practice
Review and integrate principles of neuropathology to diagnosis and treatment
Augment their knowledge of basic science to their clinical and surgical practices
Recognize pathological abnormalities relevant to neurosurgery
List the principles of general surgery
Distinguish neurosurgical treatments and their limitations
Recognize the principles associated with neurosurgery and the treatment of pain
Discuss strategies for managing complications related to neurosurgery
Identify areas of relative strength and weakness in their fund of knowledge
Demonstrate their mastery of the material by responding to questions on each lecture
